PXM1 HYBRID Manfrotto-Type RC2 and Arca-Type Quick Release Plate

This plate does the job. Great for Arca-Swiss compatible ball heads as well as Manfrotto ball heads. Comes with two Allen Key wrenches & attached stop screws. I use Arca-Swiss ball heads and the PMG SS2 QR Strap Adapter. This is a lightweight, yet secure way of adapting my Nikon D850 and my Nikon Z6 cameras to the QR system, when not using my PMG L-Brackets. I've attached mine to the bottom of the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR2 Lens Foot, so that I may use my QR adapter built into my strap. The PXM1 HYBRID is tiny and useful. It's very well made, functions great, inexpensive and worth the price. Recommended.

This plate is very versatile and convenient as it works with Arca-Swiss type or Manfrotto type ball heads. It is small and light, adding minimum of weight to the camera for carrying around comfortably. I use these on my 5D4, 80D and telescopic lenses with Plug Connector SS2P1 on my shoulder and neck straps. Excellent invention!

The PXM1 is a very fine piece of machining and works well on my Nikon FTZ adapter and Manfrotto heads without requiring removal of the plate. As other users have said, a well-fitted D-ring option, rather than the Allen key tripod screw, would be a nice way to upgrade future versions. Thank you for an otherwise superb product.

Bought this plate and mounted it on the side of the apex of my tripod so I could use your quick release swivel device. Looks a bit awkward but works.

Great Idea, But...... I purchased this plate to use with my arca-swiss tripod, Manfrotto RC2 tripod and Manfrotto RC2 tilt head. It's very convenient to use one plate for both systems but the plate has some play when locked into the Manfrotto RC2. It locks in solid but can be slid back and forth. This is obviously due to the fact that they couldn't make the Manfrotto side wider without throwing off the dimensions of the arca-swiss side of the plate. This plate is great for casual shooting with light equipment if you own both arca and Manfrotto systems. After doing some research I have since purchased a discontinued Manfrotto 234 tilt head without a RC2 quick release. I purchased two Promediagear C-60 clamps for my tilt head and tripod and a Promediagear body plate for my 5D3. Now its all converted to arca-swiss and everything locks in nice and solid. All of these items from Promediagear are of excellent quality. I was so impressed with the body plate for the 5D3 that I've ordered and L bracket to go with it, But that's another review.
