KEY FEATURES
The ProMediagear TR343 Pro-Stix Carbon Fiber Tripod is a 3-section camera support with a 51-inches max height. The max load capacity is up to 60 lbs which are perfect for any setup. This tripod is designed to be a lightweight tripod for photographers and videographers.
ProMediaGear made the TR343 tripod legs out of 10 layers of carbon fiber. The legs also have three adjustable locking positions. This is perfect for when you need to get high or extremely low while shooting.
Besides the carbon fiber legs, this tripod features an aluminum flat apex. It has a standard 3/8-16" mounting thread. Any ball head, gimbal head, or even video sliders will fit perfectly.
This plate is replaceable and can be transformed via PMG accessories. The ProMediagear TRB3475 Pro-Stix 75mm bowl adapter is just one of the compatible PMG products.
Moreover, the new ProMediaGear Compact Apex can slim down this tripod. This is if you prefer a slimmer tripod profile.
In addition, the TR343 carbon fiber tripod has three 1/4-20" threads for additional accessories. The included spirit level also helps in balancing the camera.
ProMediagear included a built-in stainless steel foot spikes for outdoor use. It keeps the tripod planted on soft surfaces such as soil or sand.

I'm shooting a lot of 4 minutes exposure images and have had serious issues in the past with tripods not being stable enough to give sharp images. The TR343 is bought as a hiking tripod as I need something that is as strong as possible and weighs less than 1.7 kilograms. Once I learned that Pro Media Gear had changed the leg angles to 24 degrees, the strength of this tripod should reach above 2,000 Nm as per inputs from the website "thecentercolumn.com". This is the strength I need with the lenses I use when hiking. I didn't find any other tripod that could match it and at the same time have fast damping. For me the purchase was a no-brainer based on my needs versus the product facts available.
I'm yet to test the tripod in the field but first impressions is that it feels very sturdy and very well made. All tubes fits nicely. Machining is well done and the tripod feels nice and solid.
