ProMediaGear BH50c60 Ball Head Overview

The ProMediaGear BH50c60 ball head is one of the best tripod heads you can avail of today. It provides a rock-solid grip on your camera while providing smooth and precise movements.

ProMediaGear developed the BH50 ball head with an Arca-Type standard mount. The quick-release clamp works with any 60mm Arca-type quick release plates

Moreover, this tripod head is made of solid T6061 aluminum. Thus, it is tough and lightweight. At only 1.54 pounds, this tripod head is portable and easy to carry.

You can put it in a tripod carrying case. Also, it fits small to large camera bags easily.

This ProMediaGear ball head can be considered one of the best options for beginners and professionals alike. The large knobs are easy to use. Plus, it is smooth to adjust.

Using this head is straightforward. You mount it on your tripod. Attach your quick release plate to the clamp. That's it. You are good to go.

In addition, you may pan from left to right without any problems. The unique repositionable panning knob works at any position. You can have a comfortable work position without sacrificing panning quality.

Moreover, the BH50c60 mounts to any tripod with a standard 3/8-16" mount. Other features include bubble-level, and laser-engraved markings when shooting. The markings do not fade over time.

This tripod ball head moves freely from side to side. There are two drop slots that are perfect for shooting in a vertical position. But, it is highly advisable to grab a ProMediaGear L-bracket too.

Lastly, the ProMediaGear BH50c60 has a 5-year warranty. You may shop without worries as the company offers excellent customer support.

    Great ball head

The fluid movement and the quick release is outstanding I am liking this with the Promedia 34l tripod.

    My new go-to ball head!

This will undoubtedly be my go-to ball head. The pan and ball movements are incredibly smooth. Absolutely zero ball head droop, even with a heavy body/lens combination. The large main and pan lock knobs are a delight to use and will be easy to operate with gloves on. I much prefer the wide grooves on these vs. the knurled or fine grooves on other heads I've used. The ability to reposition the panning knob is a great feature. This is yet another well designed and executed bit of gear from PMG!

Greetings, I've been use to much heavier fluid heads for years with relatively large video cameras. Since I'm new to ball heads, my experience is limited. I bought the BH50 just weeks ago and used it for three days with my Nikon D750. The heaviest lens being 300mm plus 1.4 tele. The clamp secured my L bracket but I may replace with a quick release. Temps were in the 40's with wind so i gloved the large knob with ease. I think I would prefer the main and pan knobs tightened down quicker. Seems to take several knob turns till i feel secure but this may be the case with ball heads in general. However, if this translates to it's light weight, it's a good thing. I back packed steep loose sand Dunes with the head on the TR424 PMG Pro Stix 58 inch Carbon Fiber Tripod w/ 42mm diameter legs. The total 7.5 lbs is a relief compared to my usual Miller Head and legs weighing in at 13.5 lbs. The thing is built tank like. I doubt I'll wear it out. I really like the fact the company is in Chicago. Heck, my Schwinn Stingray was built in the windy city. I'm not crazy about the red color plate. I may paint it black. Before buying this tripod combo, PMG promptly answered my questions regarding their products. Thank you, Dave

    Among The Very Best

I love tripods and ball heads. As a standard ball this is one of the best I have every used. The ball is ultra smooth. The panning base is like silk, with no slop. The large knobs are nice and easy to use, and custom placement of the pan knob is a good touch. The head is reasonable in size for what is gives you. I would not hesitate to buy this again.
