Well made…as usual

Beautiful piece of equipment. Attached two ProMediaGear cold shoes to either side of the Hi Hat

Hi Leon, thanks for writing a review! It's great to hear that our cold shoes are working well with your Hi Hat setup.

Thank you,

I had my doubts but now that I have it I am happy with it.

I purchased a TRHH2 75mm Bowl adapter High Hat as I recently broke down and bought the center column for my TR344L which meant sidelining the 75mm cup insert I had been using for the past few years, for motion work that meant I needed a high hat or a leveling base from another manufacturer. I decided to give the TRHH2 a try.
I am glad I did

One thing note is that this thing is big and robust, also as with my other PMG products, well designed, machined and anodized. It's big and robust enough that I can use it as a handle to carry the tripod even while wearing gloves. On the other hand by the time you add a fluid type head (I am using the Manfrotto 608 Nitro) and 75mm half-ball the tripod is very top heavy. As long As I don't need to also raise the column, I think theis does not have an effect on camera stability.

I also appreciate the mounts on the side.

Thanks for your support Ellis! Keep shooting!

The TRHH2 adapter is 6.25” tall, which is an improvement over the shorter TRHH1. I originally ordered the TRHH1 however it was backordered by the seller. The TRHH2 was sent in its place and I am glad they did. I can, with my big hands, grip the handle of the half ball. It’s still a bit cramped but, workable. I can only imagine how difficult the shorter TRHH1 would have been to use. This a great unit for adding half ball tech for those who tend to swap out heads often between video and non-ball tripods. I got tired of playing with the set screws. Mostly losing them. This adapter solves the problem. It is light weight and well made. Things to know: Does add height but, for me this means I don’t have to use so much of the lower legs on my tripods. Sturdier that way. The Manfrotto half ball fits nicely into the adapter, however the long 520BALL handle does not fit. The shorter 520BALLSH handle does. Oddly, the 520BALL came with a 3” long SS threaded bolt and the shorter 520BALLSH came with a 4” bolt. This does mean when using the 520BALLSH you must put the handle in place first then add the head. Yes, I could swap out or cut the longer bolt. Yes, I will order another TRHH2.
